To help customers get the most out of LeanKit, we provide an Application Programming Interface (API) for automating common tasks, such as creating, updating, and moving cards on a board.
Our API is a suite of web services that make it possible to build and manage software applications. While invisible to end users, APIs are essential for communication between programs and systems.
Here are a few examples of how the LeanKit API can help you and your organization:
- Automate repetitive tasks, such as updating many cards at once.
- Monitor LeanKit for specific conditions, and send notifications.
- Synchronize information between LeanKit and another system.
How to integrate with the LeanKit API
> API Version 2.0 includes our newest API endpoints. Documentation for Version 2.0 can be found by going to [youraccountname].leankit.com/io.
Note: change [youraccountname] to match your LeanKit account name.
Please note that some API endpoints are only available when using our Advanced/Premium product editions, e.g. Custom Fields.
> API Version 1.0 is also available for use. Details about Version 1.0 can be found in our Version 1.0 overview.
