You can configure different card types to indicate different types of work items being managed within a board.
To add or edit card types, open the Board Settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper right of the window and select the Card Types tab.
On the Card Types tab, you can view and edit the types of cards available for this board.
Creating a New Card Type
To create a new type of card, click Add Card Type.
You can give the new card type a color and name. You can either choose from our 10 "LeanKit Designer Approved" colors (they just look pretty together) or you can click the color picker to choose any color you'd like.
You can also edit existing card types by hovering over and clicking the pencil and paper icon next to the card type.
Click Save when you're done.
Setting the Default Card Type and Task Types
The list of Current Types includes Card Type and Task Type columns. You can select one or both of these. By doing that you specify which card types are listed for cards on a board, and which card types are available for tasks in a taskboard.
You can select the default card type and default task type by making a selection in the drop down menu at the bottom of the window.
